Entering into the US military is a very difficult process. There are several steps one must take to be approved to answer the military. I would first advise anyone looking to get into the military to talk with a recruiter and conduct their own online research with each branch prior to accepting any position. After deciding which position would best fit you. The ASVAB test is used to determine your aptitude and skill level and is utilize to determine what position you are eligible for. It is best to see what job you are wanting to do and ensure you study to the best of your ability to reach that score necessary.
no real interview required other than a background check investigation and a talk about your past experiences, school grades, criminal history, etc with a recruiter at a local recruitment station

Long medical review and a lot of paperwork. There are various positions for growth within the career field that have various interview and application processes as well. You will have to go to MEPS (Medical Entrance Processing Station) once to a few times based on your medical history. You will do an in-depth medical review, you will answer questions with your recruiter and then go to basic training.
