J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 4 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez US Air Force (New York, NY) en avr. 2011
Entretien
I met with a recruiter in my hometown and we started the long process of getting me enlisted. One thing I noticed was that I had to reach out to my recruiter to keep the process going--rather than him hounding me, I had to be on top of everything, which was good. We went through the initial screenings, and then through the ASVAB, and a few other mandatory appointments.
Generally speaking, it was pretty straightforward but took a long time. Be prepared to be offered additional money to add two years to your enlistment, which is a bad idea.
Walk in. Finding the recruiter is the hard part. Just have to keep trying if you really want it you will make it happen. Just keep teaching out as it can take some time to find them.
