I applied for a job online and four days later I was called in for an interview. I had to fly 800 miles to get there. They wanted me there the next day, but they were not going to help me in any way with the travel, so I scheduled for four days later. The interviewer was very brash and had terrible body language and kept on puffing through her teeth (I later found out that she was known to be like this in general). After the interview I was given a firm handshake with eye contact. As I left I said I hoped to work with her soon and she said yes. Her executive assistant walked me to the elevator and told me that the interviewer was hiring me. I jump on a plane; come back and waited for three weeks to hear something back (I was told it would take only 5 days to hear something back). I called the office and the interviewer was in a meeting, but I was told she was hiring someone else. To this day I still have not heard a word back. Upon reflection on my part, I still cannot think of a reason to not have been hired.
