In short.. WAY TOO LONG. It seems like they are interviewing everyone within Canada to try and find the perfect match, I personally have been going for 8 weeks on this and 8 interviews, I know others that have gone more .. They are all in for the culture and company but there are always a "few more" people they want to chat with etc.. If it takes this long to figure out if someone can work for you, then maybe they don't want too. Please be respectful of your candidates and their time. 8 Interviews including a full presentation and still going? Obviously, there is something you like about this candidate.. hire them.. Good and great candidates won't stick around.. The grass is NOT always greener for the next 5 people that applied today ..

The hiring manager was genuinely warm and welcoming throughout the entire process, which made for a really positive experience. The recruiter was equally impressive — communicative, organized, and great at keeping me informed every step of the way, which made the process feel seamless and stress-free.
The one area I'd suggest improving is the job description. While it gave a general overview of the role, it could have benefited from more specific details about day-to-day responsibilities, required skills, and team structure. A more descriptive posting would help candidates come better prepared and ensure a stronger match from the start.

5 steps:
- screen with recruiter
- call with hiring manager
- call with sales manager
- call with SE (technical)
- stand & deliver (presentation to a panel)
Good: All the people I met were fairly warm and welcoming. The recruiter coordinator was very good, she was available and pleasant to deal with. I could also have a call with the hiring manager before the panel to prep it, and she was available for feedback after I finished the process.
Bad: 5 steps is TOO effin LONG, I don't care what people say. I'm not going to be CEO, it's just an average job. This is not specific to Twilio per se, it's an annoying practice a lot of companies have. The amount of time and energy request to candidates is just disproportioned. The panel itself was fine, the product is technical, but they didn't want an overly technical presentation. Still, you need to put in hours to prepare.
