Hi, thanks for taking the time to leave a review. We’re sorry to hear the live coding stage felt misaligned, especially after you’d already been open about your experience with that particular stack. It’s good to hear the initial conversations with our TA team and Head of Engineering were positive, though I appreciate that doesn’t make up for the rest of the experience. On the live coding format, we used to actually run take-homes, but feedback at the time from candidates was that they preferred a live session instead, so we moved in that direction. That said, your feedback here is really helpful. We absolutely want these interviews to reflect real engineering ability, not feel like a trivia exercise and we’ll be feeding this back to the Engineering team to review how we structure and balance that stage.
