Went for first round interview with HR. Recruiter explained the job scope, benefits and hiring process in detail. Prompt in getting back to inform that they will not be proceeding with application- took 5 days as promised. However, no feedback was given when asked why. I would have appreciated it if they shared...

Three rounds first with the recruiter, then the hiring manager, then group peer interview. All 3 interviews were in a 2 week time frame and were 30 minutes each via zoom.

My second interview with this company. Both experiences have been disappointing. The second was a huge improvement from the first since they actually responded to me after showing interest but based on both experiences, it seems like TripAdvisor’s style is to just ghost candidates or leave candidates hanging once they become uninterested even if you’re midway or almost at the end of process.
I think it’s really rude and disrespectful to candidates.
Also scheduling an interview for 30 mins sharp doesn’t allow candidates and hiring managers to really get to know each other & when the HM is pressed for time to keep it within schedule, it causes unnecessary stress on both sides, leaving insufficient time for the candidate’s questions to be addressed.
I enjoyed talking to some of the interviewers but I couldn’t say the same for all. Nonetheless, if they’re serious about hiring talents to help transform their business, they should really look into their hiring process and examine the kind of message or culture they’re portraying to potential hires. Action speaks louder than words.
