There were three interviews. The first one was when you put the application in. The Mate would give you the application and talk to you for a minute. The second interview you talked to the second in charge of the store and they told you what was expected of you. The job is very physical,. You have to be able to break down pallets at the end of the night and restock the store. The third interview was with the manager of the store.
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
Can you use a pallet jack? Are you able to lift boxes that weigh 50lbs or more? How are you customer service skills?

Two official interviews each with two staff. Interviewers were friendly and the questions were typical of any interview. Know why you want to work there and be familiar with their company values/environment and you'll be just fine. If they don't offer a job on the first round but you interviewed well, they'll recommend you reapply at another date (generally when they have more openings).

I dropped by and filled out their written application and handed it to the Mate.
He was very nice and gave me his business card and said they would reach out soon.
I received a call to come into interview approx 2 weeks later. I arrived 20 min early and and checked in with the Leadership desk. I waited and was greeted by a Crew member that lead me to a warehouse area 3 floors above..
3 folding chair set up, 2 facing 1.
Another crew member joined us.
I thought the conversation with these two very nice and cordial individuals went really well..
Walked away feeling really confidant.
I received a letter saying I was not chosen and that they were thrilled I was interested and they hope I will continue to shop there.
I wish I would have at least gotten feedback as to why I wasn’t chosen instead..
All I can imagine is that I’m over qualified, or my age has something to do with it...
I shopped today at Trader Joe’s, I did not see any employee with a smile or any customer engagement throughout the store..
My check out experience was basically Blah, no smile or Good Morning. I looked around and still did not see one smile amongst any of the cashiers.
He said Paper or Plastic bags?
I said paper..
After all the research I did and my excitement I had about this company, I realized none of these employees are engaged..
Employee engagement with customers are the key in WOW..
It’s great to have a valuable product.
If the experience is just ‘Blah’ when you go there, than you are not offering Good Customer Service..
Just my take on it!

It was a quick interview. Go prepared to answer a lot of questions about yourself as far as your personal hobbies and interests. I was interviewed by 2 people at the same time, 1 male 1 female. The woman was attentive and leading the interview. The guy just sat there, seemed bothered and a bit impatient which made me nervous. He asked a couple of questions but the way he worded them seemed like he was trying to figure out if I was being truthful about my past work. Something about him threw me off which looking back on it now I think it's why I wasn't offered the job.
