The two heads of circulation sat me down in a closed-off area and asked me a few questions about who I was (ex: a high school student who liked books, volunteered at the library before, etc.), what my strengths and weaknesses were, why I wanted to work for the library, for how long (at the time, I said for as long as possible; I didn't know I'd travel for college), and ended it by testing me to see if I could shelve materials properly, whether it be media, fiction, or nonfiction (I got a perfect score). Overall, they were friendly and talkative and understood I was nervous about my first interview. There was some small talk, I think mainly to see what kind of person I was and how I would handle customers.
