The interview process was smooth and started with an initial screening call with a recruiter. I was then scheduled for a 45 minute joint call with the hiring manager and the director. That was followed a week or so later with a 3 hour virtual version of an "onsite" where I met with several different people. For all of these, the HR team was wonderful to work with and accommodated my crazy schedule. even splitting the last call into two separate ones. Everything was conducted via Zoom.
I also completed a take home assignment relevant to the specific position to which I applied. This took about an hour and a half for me to complete.
Throughout the process, the recruiter kept me in the loop as to timing, next steps, etc. There were some delays but she was extra communicative and transparent about them. I think this was the first interview process I've gone through where I never once wondered what was happening or felt like I was being ghosted! The call with the official offer even came through ahead of schedule!
Every step, and every process, was conducted with the utmost professionalism and with respect for me as a candidate. It reflected the company culture extremely well and definitely contributed to my decision making process when it came to accepting the offer.
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
Most of the questions asked were standard job interview questions, i.e. tell me about a time when you ____, etc. There were a few more "technical" questions related to my take home assignment but none were unexpected nor difficult to answer. I felt like I had ample opportunity to demonstrate why I was the perfect fit for the position.
This is such a thorough review - thanks for taking the time to write it. We're happy to hear that you had a positive interview experience and we're so excited to have you part of the team!

Straightforward but the analytics round was very poorly structured and didn’t even make sense to the role I was interviewing for. Feedback took weeks despite following up multiple times. Probably won’t interview again!

How do you determine success metrics for each marketing funnel?

Process started with a nice overview call with recruiter where I was able to review my experience and how I could potentially fit within the team. Second call was with the hiring manager. The vibe of this call was off from the get-go and seemed as if the hiring manager wasn’t interested in talking with me. I’m also 110% okay with people having their camera off during calls at work, but the hiring manager didn’t have her camera on, so that threw me off, as well, and felt much less personal.
Most of the questions were “technical” and were heavily focused on measurement methodology, which was okay, although the number of measurement methodology questions made it seem like more of a data science role than a media role. One that was an odd “gotcha” question was: “teach me how to do something in less than 3 minutes and then describe what the 3 most important things are for me to remember”. Or something along those lines. I can see how this would possibly get at communication style and ability to synthesize strategic communication, but it just seemed like something that wasn’t necessary to have.
Overall that second interview really soured me on the experience and the team, so I’m not sure if I would have even elected to move forward in the process if I was chosen to.
