There was a typical phone screen interview, then another phone interview with 2 people in legal and compliance roles. I was then invited to the office for 2 more rounds of interviews and assessment testing that took 4 hours. I was feeling good about the company and confident I could work at the company and in the role. However, after speaking with a couple of attorneys and assistants I was feeling a bit overwhelmed by the questions. The main one being prioritizing. In my 7 years of being a legal assistant never once have I had and issue with priorities and meeting deadlines, but I could not make them see that. My priority answer of organization, delegate, ask for help or work longer hours were not acceptable since the scenario I was given i.e., I couldn’t work longer hours or ask for someone to help me. Well frankly, I wouldn’t want to work at such a place. I also didn’t click with anyone on the legal team. Everyone was nice and accommodating. The office was beautiful.
