I had interviewed at TF before, and the company reached out to me about a new opening. First interview was with HR, a standard 20-30 minute screen/info sharing session. We scheduled an interview with the hiring manager for a week later. The afternoon before the interview I learned that my parent had been hospitalized. I immediately emailed the HR rep, explained the situation, apologized, and asked to reschedule. I also sent word to the hiring manager by canceling the meeting invite with a note and apologies. I never heard back from anyone at the company.
