The process was a very lengthy series consisting 6+ rounds of interviews including a screening, multiple discussions with the hiring manager, three panel interviews, and then a talk with the hiring manager's boss. Unfortunately outside of the interviews with the hiring manager, it was primarily unrelated to the actual job posting and I received conflicting information from numerous individuals. The final round was exclusively a C-suite executive looking to determine your company knowledge and what salary you were looking for. This individual was very unknowledgeable about the role and seemed put-off by questions.
After all of this, I ended up getting ghosted for a few weeks and then received a short, generic rejection email. While I wouldn't categorize it as a wholly negative experience because I liked the people, the entire process was very disrespectful to my time as a currently employed senior-level manager. Requiring 6+ interviews to hire someone is fairly ridiculous.
