      Many questions that start with "Tell me a time when...". Interviewers also seem to be very focused on one's managerial style. I think this stems from the need to effectively manage their large contingent of contract workers who can walk at any time. As an EM you have to manage them, but you have no real authority over anyone on the project team. Senior management had very weak responses around career trajectory and growth opportunity within the organization. This told me they have not thought much about career paths and employee growth opportunities - a BIG RED FLAG. Be sure to look at Linkedin for people in a similar or the same position. Some have decades of experience and are in the same position as others who have less than a decade of work experience. Many have been in the same role at Regis for years and years. I suppose this is ok for some people. Most of the firms revenue came from one client until relatively recently. They are pushing hard to grow, but it seems they still rely on a few reoccurring revenue streams. This is a risk. The stated way they are different from their competitors is their commitment to delight their clients and intimately learn their needs. This is standard for any professional services firm and a very weak answer to their value proposition. The fact that one of the most senior leaders provided this as the answer to "tell me what sets you apart in the market place" is rather lame and left me wanting more. I hope they have a better sales pitch to prospective clients. Management also decides very slowly...rather unprofessional in that regard. The final interview is a round robin event and you end by creating, on site, a presentation to explain what you learned and essentially why they should hire you. If they do not know why they should hire you by the end of this then they have a problem and you may want to walk away. It is a weak and uncreative way to assess candidates.

      Provide examples of project management work, agile experience, and leadership/managerial style. The engagement manager role is really a project manager role. They rely heavily on scrum and agile.
