I was contacted by a recruiter via email ad asked if I’d be interested in a GM position at an Indianapolis/Zionsville property. I was very interested and had heard nothing but great things about working for the company. I am very qualified, if not over qualified for the position, as I’ve been in hospitality/asset management for 14 years. I made it to the fourth interview and spent a lot of time away from work to help make the process fast. I always made sure I was available. At first, communication was great! After my fourth interview, communication completely stopped! I sent follow up emails to two different talent acquisition associates as well as the RVP I interviewed with, and didn’t received a response from anyone. After all the time I spent making sure I could accommodate the schedules of the recruiters and RVP only to be completely ghosted was extremely disheartening. This is very unprofessional and can tarnish The Connor Group’s reputation. It’s been four weeks and I still haven’t received a reply of any sort. Not a no thank you, we’ve moved in a different direction, nothing. I also noticed the job was reposted 14 days ago on LinkedIn and is clearly still open. I would have certainly appreciated a turn down instead of just being ghosted. Very disrespectful. I was so excited to potentially be part of what I thought was this amazing, people driven company, but this whole experience has made me feel disrespected.
