Came in to the location after lunch hours (between 3pm and 4pm) with an application in hand, wearing black slacks & black shirt, no tie. They had me wait for a manager, (which took three hours!) and he sat down with me briefly to discuss the application. Keeping his eyes on the form, he asked questions about previous jobs. We set up a time for a set of formal interviews the following week.
For the formal interviews, I was sure to wear a tie this time, and I sat down with the same manager I previously spoke with. He asked me what brings me to the hospitality business, and why I wanted to work for The Cheesecake Factory. He asked me to tell him about a time when I succeeded in reaching a goal in the workplace, as well as a time when I struggled and what I did to overcome that challenge. He also asked about a time when I stood out among my coworkers on some level.
The following interview was a test of sorts, to rate my 'likability', which consisted of seemingly arbitrary questions, describing scenarios and my response to them. This was with another manager, female, who gave a bit of a warmer first impression than the first. After that, we went through the kitchen into the back office area to fill out some paper work as they offered me the job.
