Recruiter reached out on LinkedIn on Aug 9th. After a brief chat we agreed to connect on the phone on August 15th @ 10am. Recruiter never called and sent a message at 10:17am asking to reschedule. We connected the next day and I quickly understood that the recruiter knows next to nothing about the position or the team and very little about the company. We agreed to schedule a phone interview. I was called at the scheduled time on August 28th but not by the person I was scheduled with. We had a good chat and then the recruiter reached out for my availability for an onsite interview. I gave my availability for the following Thursday. Recruiter said I'd be hearing from their Recruiting Coordinator about the detailed schedule. I followed up on the Tuesday before the interview. Wednesday evening I received a reply from the recruiter that he forgot to schedule it and asking if I could do Friday instead. I re-arranged my plans and confirmed.
On Friday the interview went quite smoothly, thanks in part to the wonderful coordinator. I though we had some great conversations, and I walked out pretty confident that I could expect next steps. I was told I'd be hearing back in the next2-3 business days. Over the next three weeks, I tried to reach the recruiter via e-mail and phone to no avail. I finally got the coordinator on the phone today, and she said she'd follow up with the recruiter. Shortly after, I received a very generic "went with another candidate" response.
