Applied for 3 different positions at Tesla Gigafactory online. After close to 4 weeks was contacted by recruiter requesting a phone interview in a few days. Did phone interview; they just asked about my background. Asked me to take an online assessment which had electrical and mechanical questions. After a few days i was contacted again to prepare for a video conference interview. Did video interview with 3 different people; engineering, supervisor and manager. After interviews recruitment/HR told me they would get back to me within 2 weeks. Got a call after 2 weeks and 1 day and they made an offer.

It was a fairly straightforward process, I was referred to the position by an employee at Tesla. The total process took about a month until I got a call from the recruiter saying that they decided to extend an offer.

Entretien
I was first emailed by a recruiter who set up an interview with the hiring manager. That went well. It was 30 minutes, and the questions were mostly behavioral. Second interview was 2-30 minutes, one with a process engineer, the other with the department manager. Both about 1/2 technical and 1/2 behavioral. If you know your stuff and prep with questions beforehand, you'll do fine.

This position is a step backward for you in job title. Are you willing to take a step away from being in an office and more into being on the floor.
After a couple of calls with the recruit we set up my first interview. That interview ran for about 30 minutes and we pretty base level. After that interview, the recruiter reached out to me and we scheduled a second interview. The second interview was more difficult and had questions focused on gauging logical based thinking and troubleshooting.
