J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 2 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Tesla (Palo Alto, CA) en mars 2017
Entretien
Spent a long time filling out Tesla's own form application after submitting resume online, did a phone interview with recruiter, did a Security "APTitude" challenge, and then was told they were going with other candidates in their pipeline.
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
General background questions, experience, goals, compensation desired.
After multiple email exchanges with the recruiter, I was required to complete a "Security APTitude Challenge". This consisted of being provided a generic Alert PDF from a security tool, a PCAP file and an .img file. I had to analyze the 3 pieces of data and answer questions about what happened based on the evidence, how to prevent it in the future, ect. I'm pretty sure I aced this part and the recruiters response seemed to confirm this.
Next a phone interview was scheduled and this is where things went bad. Most of the interview questions were cryptography based i.e. if you have a database full of user information, how do you protect it. The questions kept getting deeper and deeper to the point of being asked what makes bcrypt so hard to crack.
In my opinion, none of the questions were focused critical thinking ability. They were all pretty specific and had little to do with analyzing data/intrusions. The interviewer was also pretty hard to understand, he mumbled and spoke way to quick when asking highly technical questions.
Take this all for what it's worth. Maybe it was just my experience and yours will be better.
