So I'm neither a current employer nor a past one! I just got involved in the interview process and it made me think... So I thought I write about it here to help others. The interview process seems very long and I didn't get through to the end of it. They were looking for a software engineer and the first step was to fill a form which I sure did! I got contacted and after a week email correspondence we finally managed to schedule a time for a programming task where I needed to Skype them and Share my screen throughout the session. I managed to do the programming task successfully and normally from experience I know that if I feel good about the task, I've got my foot into the door. 3rd step was an IQ Wonderbit test which I hadn't heard of before. I thought to myself that this should be nothing comparing to the programming task and I had received positive feedback regarding the task I had done. In my mind the IQ test which consisted of 50 intelligence questions that had to be answered in a very very tight timeframe of 12 mins, 150 personality questions, and racial and demographics questions should have been just to get a better idea about the candidate rather than being used for approving or rejecting them but to my surprise after I finished the questionnaire and informed them they immediately rejected me after having been in the pool for about two weeks. I wouldn't have been shocked if I were to be rejected because of the programming task but being rejected for imho a less than deterministic IQ test which has more to do with ability to shortcut math equations and know how to eliminate multiple choice vocabulary choices without knowing the meanings of words might not be the fairest way to rule out a candidate. By the way wonderbit test is proved to lack in determining crystal intelligence which affects a big part of our abilities as human beings. I didn't think I have done particularly bad at the test but to me it seems that they have a huge pile of candidates and have no better way to filter them out but by using differences in such tests which honestly sounded unfair and weird to me. This was the first time ever I was being rejected in an interview because of the result of a personality test/IQ test or could it have been the racial and demographics info I provided....? I sent an email to confirm my assumptions but expectedly didn't get an answer... I was never given a chance to see or speak to anyone in the company which in my opinion would have been a much better way to get to know someone and something sounded kinda awkward (if you like) about the way they rejected my application.

This is good feedback. I will look into this. You shouldn't be rejected at this stage, unless there were other reasons. I will work with the recruiting team to improve our communication here.

I sent an email to their manager. Then they said I could be a good fit for the position and sent me an application form. All the questions are behavioral questions. After completed the form they declined me but with no reason. I don't know why.
This is good feedback. You are right, we don't do a good enough job of giving the specific reason. The Tenfold hiring process is an evolving one and we try to learn fast. I will work with the hiring team to improve feedback.
