      I had 1 interview with a HR manager, he promised to let me know after 2 days. After 3 days, received nothing from them, so i sent a followup email, and until now i still haven’t received any response or feedback from them. I apply to this role here as I read about the company, and they seem to be a good company to work with. When I got invited to the interview, I was so happy, the more i read about them, the more excited I was, as their mission and culture really did stand out and was aligned to what I’m looking for. However, after the first “informal chat”, I felt like I was investigated with questions such as how much money I brought to my current company, or how many clients i managed to retain. To me this was not a so-called “informal chat with the People team to explore whether there could be a match”. I don’t mind being asked these kinds of questions in an interview but I don’t think there was any question they asked me really showed that they had interest in me as a person who has personality that could be a right match with their culture (as stated on website re the purpose of the first interview). I normally don’t give any company reviews after interviewing even though i didn’t pass or had bad experiences. However, I think I need to write this review for them, a company who expresses themselves as a transparent, fast and human hiring platform, how they are so different and more ethical in hiring industry, but couldn’t be bothered to at least send an email to a candidate who they asked for an interview with and promised to let them know after 2 days. If you offer an all in one hiring platform that make it easier to manage candidates, interviews, then being too busy shouldn’t be a reason for not sending out an email. People deserve to know, please stick to what you promised.

      Hi, firstly thank you for leaving your feedback. You are absolutely right in that we want to be known for a far greater recruitment experience - and we believe we generally are - but we don't always get it right and while I'm aware you have received feedback and decision from us, it didn't come after the promised 2 days due to some unexpected leave. You did follow up, before receiving your response and an explanation. We apologised then and are apologising again now - waiting on outcomes is stressful, and worse still when it takes longer than expected. If there's anything within the feedback we can further clarify please respond to your email, we are more than happy to. I've looked into the questions asked during your interview and on that note there's nothing out of the ordinary. It is an informal chat with lots of getting to know you and lots of sharing about us and our culture, about half the time is spent on this. It's also part of the hiring process and as you say, we explore potential matches. In client facing positions, we enquire about past performance at a very high level - client retention, and if you had targets, how you did - questions we believe you'd likely expect we'd ask to gauge a match. Past experience is covered very lightly at first, then explored further later in the process. Hope this helps to clarify and again, if you want to discuss anything further we're here. Laura (CPO)
