Recruiter reached out through job portal Was polite and straight with the expectation and communication 1st Round - Problem Solving and Javascript Had fun discussing problems and technical details around day to day work with the interviewer. 2nd Round - LLD Was supposed to be a machine coding round Interviewer decided otherwise and asked to write JSON API response for Scorecard (I chose Cricket) from memory Wrote completely extensible types using TypeScript and shared sample JSON with two apis 1) Match Detail 2) Scorecard I think interviewer was a Backend engineer and was nit picking on completeness of data, rather than extensibility per requirements / UI view. It's alright, Frontend engineers should work with APIs responses and discussing contracts but making hiring decision solely based on it and ignoring actual skills and experience says alot about company culture.
