I have been interviewed by a Tech Engineer about a lot of things that I had no clue of in my first interview, and then I told myself "you failed totally" because none of those questions were related to my resume so I felt like someone changed my resume without my consent.. Before I knew it, I was contacted about 2 weeks later about a second interview, more customer service focused and personal questions, and this time I nailed it.
