Entretien
I was re-introduced to Teach for America through a school administrator who had been looking for teachers but could not find candidates with the right education (i.e. having at least a Bachelor's Degree). After I applied, I had a telephone interview that lasted about 45 minutes. I then had a final interview with 11 other candidates and 2 TFA recruiters. The day consisted of a 5-minute "lesson" to be presented to the group, a panel discussion with the other candidates while the recruiters sat back and took notes, and a 1:1 interview with a recruiter. My interview was at the end of November; I got notification of my acceptance in mid-January.

The interview was very different from most interviews but I was definitely well-prepared with the resources that TFA had offered in preparation. My interviewer was very nice and it often felt like a conversation between us about whatever question was asked which was nice.

The interview started with a mock lesson and case study, followed by questions about me and my interest in the position. I prepared slides to present to the interviewer and shared my screen.

You had to complete a demo in front of other candidates as well as recruiters. The demo itself was short and you had flexibility in what you “taught” for your lesson.
