It took one month since my resume was submitted to the time I got the Skype interview. During the Skype interview, the interviewer had his video disabled. In the beginning of the Skype chat, he asked me permission to take a screenshot of me in the video, in order to show his manager what I looked like. My recruiter got back to me the next day and stated the following: "[Tavant] said that while your background looks great, it's not the exact match they're looking for for this particular role. " Tavant had my resume for a whole month, so they should have figured out whether or not I was a good match for the role prior to the Skype interview. It also seemed sketchy that they took a screenshot and used it as part of my interview. Makes me feel like I was rejected based on my appearance, because it surely wasn't based on my technical performance (very simple CS questions). Based on the many other negative reviews, I agree that this company has a dubious interview process. I wish I used Glassdoor prior to accepting their one-sided Skype chat.
