J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 5 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez Target Australia (Cannington) en mars 2021

I found the interview process relatively easy and straightforward.
I applied online approximately Nov 2020. From memory their was a video that you had to upload at the same time.
I didn’t hear back nor receive any feedback so promptly forgot about it.
On March 10 I received a text message and an email asking me to book in for a group interview. The only option was the next day in 2 different time slots. So I chose the 4pm time slot.
I arrived at target 5mins before the start time and there were about 6 others waiting already. I said hi to everyone and made sure to smile a lot incase we were being watched already. Haha.
We had to wait around an extra 10mins for some reason. I’m unsure if they did it just to watch how we handled things or not.
In total there were 12 of us. A range of ages and different backgrounds. From a couple of 15yr old school kids to myself and another lady who are mid/late 30’s.
We met the store manager and assistant manager. We were taken to the back break room and had a quick roll call.
We then broken into groups there were 2x groups of 3 and 3x groups of 2. We had to get to know the people / person in our group and then take turns introducing them to the whole group.
After that, in the same group we had to do a quick roll play. They had a variety of different items at the front of the store and in your group you had to roll play being a customer / sales assistant and either buy or sell the item.
I’ll note here that if possible make an effort to sit with someone who seems to be friendly and can talk. I was with a lovely young girl and we did very good together but I noticed that two other teams struggled because they were with someone who was either extremely shy or just panicked because of the pressure.
After we did that we had 2 silent exercises. The first one was line up from shortest to tallest without talking.
I was the tallest one there so it was easy for me. I did take control of the rest of the group and moved them around until they were in their appropriate position. (I know this earnt me points).
The second one was line up in birthday order (jan 1 - dec 31) again without talking. This one was a little harder but with clear hand signals myself and another girl established which end was jan and which was dec. I was April so then found the other person in April and we set ourselves up.
After that it was a quick 5 min interview with either of the managers. Standard questions like “what’s your availability?” “What’s your work history?” Etc.
I was told that due to the fact they were interviewing so many people we wouldn’t hear back for a few weeks as it wasn’t fair to offer positions before they had interviewed everyone.
However I received my offer the next day.

The interview process was very laid back and chill. The interviewer talked a bit about the company and their role, and then asked a couple of questions about you. The interview was pretty short.

Personally I had a group interview but they do have individual interviews too. general questions were asked as well as job specific, and customer service related questions. we also had to sell a product to the interviewer.

We were each given a random product and told to sell it to the interviewer
It was easy and friendly. It's not exactly difficult to get through either, standard questions you'd see in retail about progression and willingness to learn. There may perhaps be a bias towards younger and more enthusiastic people given the fact you're interacting with customers
