      Entretien

Recruitment: - I was found through a search on LinkedIn by their intern. My profile matched their requirements so the HR Director reached out to me for a phone screen. Phone Screen: - My first contact was with the HR Director. She explained the role and what her vision was for the person in the role. She also spent some time telling me about the company and what they do. The phone conversation lasted about 30 - 40 minutes. She asked me questions about my previous experiences, my goals, among other things. 2nd Phone Screen: - This time she put me in contact with the CHRO. This conversation lasted about 30 minutes. His main focus was on my past experiences and thoughts on what I could bring to the table. In-person Interviews: - I was brought in for interviews with 3 people over video. Each interview lasted 30 minutes. The main purpose of the first 2 interviews were so that I could get a clearer picture of the company structure and understand how the different pieces fit together. Here is where I am a bit torn. After my interviews, I felt that those two interviews were a bit unnecessary but now that I've started the job, I can see how beneficial it was to meet them and understand their roles. So I'm not sure if those conversations would have been more helpful before being hired or after. The final interview was with the HR Manager in person. Since I would be working a bit closer to her, the HR Director thought it would make sense to have a conversation with her. She mainly asked about my experiences and explained how it tied in with the role responsibilities. Closing Interview: - Lastly, I met with the HR Director in person. She gave me a tour of the office and allowed me to ask any final questions. She asked how I felt about the opportunity and if I saw myself joining the company. After that she explained what the next steps would be and told me she'd be in touch. Offer: - A few days later, I received an offer which I accepted. Overall, I think the process was a positive one. Compared to other interviews I've gone to, this was one of the most comfortable for me. The team all made me feel welcome and at ease. I can't be too critical of the process due to the fact that my role was created specifically to help improve the process. So there is definitely room for improvement but overall they have a good handle on the process. I hope this review helps someone. My advice: prepare. Research the company and understand the role as much as possible. This company is all about taking initiative and putting in the work. If that is the type of person you are, you will do fine here.
