J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 3 jours. J'ai passé un entretien chez TIS Insurance Services (Knoxville, TN) en juil. 2013

      Entretien

I had applied for the Commercial Lines Account Manager position. When I spoke with the Director of Human Resources at T.I.S., I was informed that position was not open and they were only taking resumes. I was taken aback by that...smelled fishy to post a job that supposedly wasn't open and yet was posted like it was. She also informs me that they posted the Commercial Lines position on indeed.com because it's inexpensive to post and they were just taking resumes. She also tells me if I do go into Personal Lines, then I could move into Commercial Lines Account Manager. So we continued the interview process over the phone. She asked me what my current salary was (even though I've read articles stating NOT to tell hiring managers what my current salary is). I tell her, then I ask her what the salary for the position of Personal Lines Account Manager is. Director of Human Resources is evasive and pretends to be ignorant on salary range. She claims she has to speak to the manager of the department to answer that question. O_0 Yet isn't she the Director of Human Resources, and shouldn't she know the answers to these basic questions BEFORE posting, and before an interview? T.I.S. Insurance seems very sales driven instead of customer focused. I asked her: "Does the company focus on the value of the policy coverage for the customer or do does the company sell based on price?" Director of Human Resources replies, "Customers who are price shopping will receive the cheapest policy." How is that customer focused? It IS NOT. That is sales driven and greedy. It does not serve the customer's based interest, because most customers are not adequately covered, and so if something happens, then there claims experience is sub-par. And she was trying to low-ball me on my salary by asking me twice if my current salary is my base salary requirement. My advice is to stay away.
