      Entretien

As a successful hiring manager who has built multiple talented teams, I have to say that my interview experience with T-Mobile was very unprofessional and amateur. It began when I received a voicemail from a recruiter to set up a time for a phone interview, and I returned the call on a break shortly after the message was left. When returning the call the recruiter began asking me interview basics about my background, experience, etc, which I explained I would only have a couple minutes to talk. I asked to schedule a follow up time that was convenient for both of us so we could proceed with the phone interview. We sent a couple emails back and forth confirming the time we would speak, and when that time came - no phone call. I waited about 20 minutes and received an email from the recruiter that my confirmation message got flagged in their junk mail (after we had already had two-way communication) and they hadn't seen it until just then. At this point I had to put the interview process on hold to attend to some personal matters, so I thanked the recruiter for their time and to keep me in mind for future opportunities. Fast forward about a month. I noticed there were new opportunities in my area, so I reached out to the recruiter via email again. I received a quick reply that they would like to set up an interview for two days later, which I agreed to and confirmed the time it would be. The day and time for the interview came and once again - no phone call. After 15 minutes I attempted to call the recruiter and got their voicemail, so I left a message in addition to sending an email. I received an email reply saying that the recruiter had the wrong time down and that it may have been their mistake. I rescheduled the interview again for the following week, and agreed to call the recruiter at the designated time. When the interview day and time came I made a call to the recruiter and was asked more about my background and interest in T-Mobile. The recruiter shared information with me about their growth structure and opportunities, and proceeded to ask me two experience-based interview questions. I answered both questions easily as they were related to my current daily experiences as a manager, and the recruiter told me that from here they wanted to line me up with the local market manager for an interview. I emailed back the times I would be available for an in-person interview over the next two weeks, and after a week had not heard anything back. I emailed the recruiter again just to touch base and confirm my availability for the upcoming week, and I received an email back the next day inviting me to a last minute hiring event with the market manager the next morning. I replied to this email that I would not be available last minute for this due to child care arrangements and asked about other times available, and I received an auto-reply that the recruiter was out of the office and wouldn't be back until the day following that event. A couple of days later I received a phone call from a local T-Mobile manager requesting an in-person interview for later that week. I returned their phone call when I went on break from my current company about an hour later and was told they had left for the day. I left a message with the associate that I was returning a call and left my contact information for them. The following day I called back again to try and connect, and was told the person was on a conference call and would return my call after. Much like the rest of my T-Mobile experience - no phone call. The following morning I received an email from T-Mobile thanking me for my interest, but that the position had been filled. Shortly after the recruiter emailed me and said that they were still working on lining me up for an interview with a local market manager, and this was the last time I heard from them.
