Initial contact was from the HR manager to setup an interview, this was done without too many questions other than if I was interested. At the interview, I met with the HR manage first (professional and casual) and was introduced to the controller/CFO. The Controller/CFO (very casual) explained corporate structure, business model in great detail, and job duties/expectations. The company is small-ish, closely held, and causal with HQ in Santa Ana, California. My impression is that they are looking for someone to review their operations (sales have declined and now starting to increase in line with the economy) and institute improvements-- this in addition to normal work duties of reporting/reviewing/analysis, et cetera.
