      Phone interview First Inperson interview - More interaction with recruiting manager and his team. Second Inperson interview - Meeting with Recruiting managers manager and HR. Final Interview - Negotiation with HR on salary and joining date.

      J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 1 semaine. J'ai passé un entretien chez Synopsys (Calgary, AB) en févr. 2024

      Entretien

      I interviewed with Synopsys in Feb 2024, at Calgary. The process a week. There was 1 online assesment and 7 Interviews.(all interviews were of 45 minutes) 1. Online assesment: There were only 2 coding questions. In the first one, there was a problem and prewritten code for it, I had to change any 3 lines to fix the code. (It was just a binary search) The second question was a leetcode level medium. But they had mentioned that correctness is important, not execution time. So I just brute forced it. 2. Manager Round: I was interviewed by the manager of the team. He just asked me 1 leetcode hard problem and mentioned in advance that he does not expect me to finish the code, he is more interested in how I approatch the problem and what is my thought process. This was a common patten in all interviews, they were not concerned about whether you solve the problem or not and whether you remeber every syntex or not, they were mostly focused on how well you approach the problem. 3. Interview with a Team member: In depth discussion on my previos work. The interviewer wanted to know how well I understand the product I worked on. 4. Interview with a Team member: Discussion on C++ language. 5. Interview with a Team member: Quiz related to graphs and trees. 6. Interview with a Team member: Discussed my previous work and asked a graph problem. check is a path exists in a graph bitween any node to any other node when some cycles exists in the graph. This graph may contain millions of nodes and there can be thousands of such graphs. 7. Interview with a Team member: They wrote some simple c style code and asked to debug, super simple. 1 tree problem: given a tree, find sum of all nodes which does not have any sibling. 8. Lunch with director This was an informal lunch, The director was a cool guy. We mostly talked about personal stuff. At the end, I was told that they liked my energy but was looking for someone with more experience. I was impressed by their interview process, the only thing that didn't make sense to me was that they regected my for not having enough experience, which they knew from the begining. Anyway, it was a fun experience.
