Never in my life have I had this kind of interview experience, now normally I am not one to review a negative experience but I have waited out the time and I will, in hopes that Symend can address the issue. The initial phone screen was absolutely fantastic, but my second interview was the problem. Upon walking in I was sat down and waited for the hiring manager. I was then collected and walked to a room where a girl was working, at which point she told the worker “I have a meeting, can you get out?” I was appalled, the tone, the demeanour the command... First strike. The girl distraught collected her belongings and left the room. Throughout the process, the hiring manager was incredibly condescending and very full of herself Making comments such as “You know the owners, are young, like very young and they hired senior people like myself who know what they are doing to to build this company out” “Without me and the executives they probably wouldn’t have gotten very far, sure it was their idea but they follow our rules on what to do” I was also asked how old I was At this point I knew I could never work for this hiring manager, which was a shame because the company looked very interesting I was then ghosted, but quite frankly I didn’t care. The remarks made about the owners, the self importance, the commands, were simply mind blowing, a part of me wished I did get the job in hopes that the team wouldn’t be treated so poorly. Unfortunate however, a huge bullet dodged.
