J'ai postulé via un recruteur. J'ai passé un entretien chez Swing Education
Entretien
Combination of technical take home interviews, followups with existing members of engineering team, and behaviorals across team. Overall very well rounded and very quick response times between steps. Was very effective and efficient

Entretien
1. Introductory call with HR or recruiter.
2. Conversation with hiring manager.
The process itself was simple and clear. Did not receive a response for next steps or rejection after the conversation with the hiring manager.
I had to reach out to the recruiter to find out about the rejection.

How do you work with your team
Why are you interested in working at the company

Entretien
1 - Interview with a Software Engineer
This is was an interview to check whether my skillset is what I said on my resume. The interviewer was cold and uninterested in my values or personality.
2 - Take home challenge
Super crude and vague way to assess the skillset of a candidate. They'd provide examples of situations of the types of problems I'd face in work. One exercise was for frontend component conceptualization and the other was for backend request that served that frontend. Very open ended.
3 - Interview with Product Specialists
They were super great! the questions they asked were mainly on values and character. Not too vague but also not too specific. They were curious and friendly.
4 - Interview with Product Designers
They were super friendly, however they did not show any preparation for the interview at all. They went the wind with this one and asked questions about UI which was seriously beyond my scope.
5- Interview with Software Engineers
This was hilarious and interesting, the CTO was also going with the wind. He was super knowledgable about the mechanics of code, it's like he should have been working for NASA or something. BUT, he placed that expectation that into a entry level engineer. For example, the whole interview revolved around threading, and although I had no idea what it was, he continued to explain and guide me to finish the interview and taught me quite a bit. I think he's a fantastic engineer, but also struggles to remain humble talking to interviewees.
