I felt like a number in line at the grocery stone. I don't feel like they really cared about my time. Weird and excessive gifs, smileys and friendly tones in their emails just gave me a shady vibe. I should have known that when a job description calls their company "family", it's an immediate red flag.
Sorry to hear we came across as shady and uncaring to you. I've used the family language a lot over the years about our team, but realizing that "team" is probably a more genuine description of a work group, no matter how close you are, so I hear you.
I don't think we'll stop sharing GIFs and emojis anytime soon, though. Gotta show a little personality, you know?

The interview process was straightforward and seamless. Clear communication, prompt scheduling, and relevant questions made the experience efficient and comfortable. I felt well-prepared and valued throughout the entire process. I heard back quickly as well.

They sent an absurd email with smiley faces and giphs galore to multiple applicants at once, using bcc, and asking everyone to sign up for a 3 hour time slot. The email said that they would text you at some point during this 3 hour time frame to join the zoom call for a 20 minute interview. Meaning that they expected people to wait around for 3 hours to be called into an interview, rather than just scheduling interviews for assigned time slots.

I didn't sign up for an interview because this a psychotic way to run an interview process and indicates utter disrespect for people and their time
It's true: we generally ask candidates to be available for 3-hour time slots to allow some flexibility on the lengths of screening calls. In most respects, we try to be very empathetic to the candidate experience, but I can totally see how this one isn't and disrespects our applicants. It's one of those parts of the process that's been on autopilot for a while and demands a reassessment. Thanks for making me aware of the other side!
