One of the most unprofessional interview processes I have been part of. Following the submission of my CV and Cover Letter, I had a first very informal interview with the recruiter who seemed more interested in telling me about her own life, than actually learning about my background and fit for the role.
Following this initial interview, I was then told that I was going to move to the next step of the process. I was then lied to multiple times about the state of my application, and challenges scheduling a follow-on interview with the extremely busy team. After two months of waiting, chasing, being ignored by the recruiter and fed lies, I was then told that the role had been offered to another candidate.
I'm not sure if this was a sign of how dysfunctional the organisation is, or of the incompetence of the recruiter, who was actually an external contractor hired to manage Surgo's recruitment process. I manage hiring processes for my own company, and treating applicants with decency is really not that hard.

Highly unprofessional and inappropriate interview process. Poor communication and no structure. Initial questions did not make sense and very little was actually discussed about the position or organization. Bullet dodged!
