I applied online through the SPS website. Fairly quickly, I was offered a phone screening interview with an HR rap that went pretty in-depth. I was then given a 2 part assignment and asked for a ton of supplemental materials (such as a video of me teaching) which took about 5 hours in total to complete. There was no communication about which school I was interviewing for. I then had a 1:1 interview with a school principal which I felt went very well, it was a great conversation. At the end of the entire process, I received a congratulations email saying... I was accepted to the applicant pool, and there were no actual openings for the next school year. If a position ever opens, I may be invited back for a THIRD interview. There was nothing on the job posting that indicated this was an application for a pool. I feel that my time was incredibly wasted and I was manipulated into putting a lot of effort into a position that did not exist.
