Entretien
I interviewed for an internship position in the Complex Securities & Financial Instruments group under the Valuation Advisory branch. I applied through the Stout website. The next step was completing a case study with 48 hours to complete. The final step was five one-on-one interviews with each being 30 minutes long. The overall waiting process was roughly 2 weeks between each step.

Question 1
Case Study: Excel and Python/R coding. A strong understanding of options, bonds, and pricing is necessary. Making the spreadsheet look presentable was also being judged, not just content.
Interview: Everyone there was insightful and nice to talk to. They all provided different perspectives about the job and the company as whole. It was great to see that they all had different personalities and that they weren't "the same person" with the same personality. There were basic behavioral questions like "Tell me about yourself", "Tell me about a time you worked in a group", "Tell me about a time where you worked with someone who was hard to deal with", etc. The technical questions were all over the place from probability to statistics to options theory to brainteasers to interest rates. If you have a strong understanding of probability & statistics along with equity, fixed income, and derivatives, these shouldn't pose a problem. As for the brain teasers, explaining your thinking out loud was much better than thinking in silent because they wanted to see how you approach problems and explain yourself than just the solution. The overarching theme was that they wanted to see how you think, not answer basic definitions.

Entretien
Applied online via Stout Students website. Took about 2 weeks to hear about an interview and another 2.5 for a decision. All of the associates I had contact with were very friendly and professional. Before the interview I completed two online assessments of my work style and personality.

Entretien
Applied on campus website. Received invitation for phone interview, then to the final round interviews in person. Individual written case study and math examination with 4 interviews. Everyone including the receptionist was extremely nice and welcoming. Their office is also really cool.
