Shift Supervisors are typically developed internally. As a barista you typically have to complete a project and show results in order to be considered for a promotion. The shift supervisor assessment consists of behaviorally based questions. I recommend that you do a coffee tasting and bring an exotic food to pair with your coffee. This will show your evaluator that you have coffee knowledge and it is a great way to set the tone for the interview.
