Casual interview with hiring manager, almost seems like a chat. Got the offer the next day by the HR who asked about expected salary. I gave and he offered to meet me to have a discussion, even said he was happy to speak to me informally. However, when I asked when's a convenient time for him to do a discussion, he replied curtly that they are not moving on with my application anymore. Note that they are paying below market average and attrition rate is high. Such distasteful experience is one that I feel is necessary to highlight to candidates who are looking for a career in SCB. (Well, maybe not as applicable to other departments) But I've been through many interviews to inform you that SCB embodies a snobbish and poor attitude. So ask yourself, is this really an organisation you want to be in?
