Brief phone interview with HR in New York office, then an in-person interview at the Philadelphia office. Pretty informal and inviting. Mostly it was them telling me about the job, and making sure I knew that, although it was titled "editor," there was no copy editing or writing involved. The phone interview also made sure I understood this. My guess is that this is to thwart writer-types (which I am) from thinking they would be writing or publishing and engaging with the content. In fact, this was very helpful, and having interviewed at similar companies and figured this out before, I was able to perform better in the interview.

Pro forma. Human Resources staff phone screened me with general questions to make sure I was a possibly successful candidate. This was followed by in-person interview with the immediate hiring manager, higher ups, and highest administration. Followed by phone negotiation for salary and offer. Signing of paper offer.
