      Candidature

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 3 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Spoonflower

      Entretien

First phone interview with HR (screening); Interview with President, Co-founder, CEO/Co-founder- all separate interviews. (Total 4 conversations). Colorful and bright office environment. I would have rather rated the interview "difficult" because each founder/CEO/Pres has a different approach- and there is no heads up. I should have asked for an agenda. I am pretty decent at reading people but each separate interview, I was trying to figure out a very different personality. Which is a part of the process, of course. After the first interviewer, I never really got the feeling that anyone really wanted me there. The questions in the interview were average and nothing really out of left field. And if it was, I handled it fine. Personally, I like fun questions and feel like they help get my ideas flowing. •  President: straightforward questions, but hard to read; pokerface, serious; seemed interested in our conversation, though. Felt my best interview was with them • Co-Founder: didn't seem interested, seemed bored, not much eye contact • CEO/Co-Founder: had a very existential conversation with him about life, travel, etc. Barely anything about skills. Decent conversation, but became a bit tangential. I went with it. All in all, the interviews were fine. I just wished I had an idea of their level of interest. I tailored my portfolio samples to what they might want to see and gave them a view of how important the DIY culture is in my life and work. One interviewer scanned my cover in front of me. And picked out random things from my resume, but didn't seem very interested. Didn't feel like they really prepared to meet me or were ever going to offer me the job. My takeaway from the experience was: They interviewed mid-career professionals, but were going to hire a twenty-something from the start. Advice: Try and just go in and do your best. I asked for feedback from my interviews and genuinely could have used it- but there was no response. Good luck!

      Question 1

      Tell me about yourself.

      Question 2

What salary do you want? (Felt like a blunt question. Interviewer used that method of rapid fire questions and then ended with the salary question a bit abruptly. Felt like a "trick".)
