What a waste of time. I was led on through four rounds of interviews, where they made it seem like I was the perfect person for the job. I had to adapt my availability to match their schedules, and then one person did not show for the virtual interview. I even did a writing test that was far too difficult and unmanageable. I sent two or three follow up emails over the course of a month, and the recruiter told me to wait until the end of the week for more information and apologized for the delay. Well, after about eight weeks since my initial interview screening, I got a rejection email that was auto-sent at 9pm on a Wednesday. I feel disrespected more than anything, and frustrated that they egged me on to the point where I thought I had it in the bag. It was insulting.
