The process was very clear and communication was consistent. I knew what to expect and Veronica (recruiter) was always available for questions if they came up. I got a sense of what the culture is like at Sparrow based on my conversations with people from different teams during my interviews.

The process was long and drawn out, I applied and a little over a week later was told they wanted to move forward and gave me a take home exercise. While the take home assessment was easy, they ask that you finish it in 2 days- without asking you when is a good time to take it. This is unlike many interviews i've had where they will ask when you will have availability to do the take home and then send it. They said if you need more time they'll give it to you if you ask, but I feel like that creates a bad look.
Additionally, I did think it was odd that they conduct the take home before a phone screen, especially when there's no pay transparency on the job listings. It was 10 days after submitting the take home that they told me they wanted to move forward with the phone screen.
Like many here have mentioned, the interviewer was 10 minutes late to the phone screen, so we went over the scheduled time as it took the full 30 minutes. The phone screen was more detailed than many others i've done and toed the line of being more of an interview. The salary was one of the last things discussed which makes sense because it is so low they try and bury it.
Another thing I found weird was that they have unlimited PTO, yet the role is hourly/exempt. When I asked about how that worked when it came to appointments/flex time they were pretty vague and also their reasoning as to why the role couldn't be salary had a lot of holes in it.
After learning about the expectations, salary and blatant disregard for one's time; I didn't think the role/company was the right fit for me. I never mentioned that at any point and told myself I'd continue as it would be good practice. However after saying I would hear back with a decision in 3 days on the call, I was ghosted and never heard back if I moved forward or not.
Overall a huge waste of time for a position thats pays ~$23 dollars an hour.
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
They asked specific excel questions like what functions you use, and abstract questions about excel that didn't really make sense without concrete numbers. How do you ensure order of operations in a formula.

Honestly the interview process was difficult like the other reviews are stating. I also felt like the person interviewing me was not very personable or welcoming and probably shouldn’t be in recruitment
