Had a 20 minute phone call with the recruiter and then was selected to move forward to speak to the Sr. Director of Sales. The recruiter initially said that the phone interview would be primarily to cover my work experience. Good thing I did my homework on the products, company and competitors. The interview was less of an interview and more like army hell week training. I've never been in an interview like this before but the interviewer was yelling questions at me and continuously interrupting me while I was responding. This wasn't your normal interview, it was more like "do you think you are tough enough" or "show us how badly you want this". I'm sorry but I don't think this style of aggressiveness is a commonplace in the workplace anymore. Maybe if you're selling used cars. It's unfortunate because the company does seem like it has great potential. It seems like Elon is very far removed from the working team which is incorporating it's own style. I turned down the follow on interview when asked to come back. I'm sorry but I couldn't work in this cut throat culture.
