Interviewed for Starship - Prop Build Engineer, It is 3 rounds of interviews, all of which are technical. 1st "screening" was 10 minutes of explanation abt SpaceX and the position, followed by 20 minutes of basic technical questions abt beams and stress, with an open ended design problem at the end. Second round was 30 minute technical interview - more fast paced. Third and final round is an onsite interview at Starbase with a 30 minute tour, 1 hr long presentation (35 min of you presenting, 15 mintues of questions, 10 minute debrief amongst hiring team), then 5 rounds of 30 min 1-1 interviews. By far the most stressful yet exhilarating interview I've been in. 2 rounds were walks around Starfactory asking MFG questions, while the other 3 rounds were about structures, design, and more theoretical MFG, Everyone was cool and fun to talk to including recruiter, but I didn't get a response until 4 weeks later when they said at most a 2 week response - basically got ghosted after on-site.

First interview was an HR recruiter screening, just talked about current plans and went over resume. Second interview was a purely technical 1h long phone call going over basic statics, fluid mechanics, and mechanics questions. Third interview was purely technical stress test, they asked questions until I got something wrong and then ended the call with "Alright well thanks for your time." Fourth interview was flown out to Starbase and had flights, rentals, and hotels covered as well as food, got a tour and then presented on a project. Team deliberated and decided not to move forward with me so I did not move onto the 1-1s.
