I recently had a phone qualification call with an SCE talent recruiter for a Category Manager IT position. During the conversation, they asked about the value of purchasing contracts I manage and my desired salary. It became apparent that, despite the job posting mentioning IT products, SCE is primarily seeking someone experienced in negotiating large-scale contracts for services and energy procurement. The IT focus was not discussed during the call, I brought it up during the call. The talent team recruiter was super nice though. The call caught me off guard as it was a few days after filling out the application online.
