Was dragged through 7 in-depth and lengthy preparation interviews with 3 different recruiters (2 who have since left the firm) and 6 employees over 1.5 years (numerous phone interviews, Zoom interviews, presenting a mock financial plan that took hours to prepare with great feedback afterwards that I'd be an ideal fit for the members of SoFi) and ultimately interviewed for a Investment Advisor role with folks who didn't even know I had interviewed with them previously, or seemed to care or feel bad in any sort of way for not even reading past interviewing notes. It seemed like they didn't even look at my resume, totally unprofessional. I was set on continuing to try given I wanted to join a "revolutionary" firm like SoFi which is why I kept in touch for 1.5 years! Have massive experience in the field and just heard back from the 3rd recruiter that they are passing on me, for reasons that make no sense at all. RIDICULOUS! I heard really good feedback from the 2 previous recruiters and was told to hold out until the teams were hiring again in this area, which I did. A whole lot of nothing, false promises and a waste of time. If this is the most revolutionary firm in finance right now then we all are in big trouble, I can't even imagine what it must be like to work here. Perhaps I'm being protected to stay where I am. I'd steer clear from this company if you're getting the run around, too. I just heard the other day from a colleague of mine that SoFi hired the laziest people from her high school graduating class, you know the ones who were known as the potheads. This experience has been a huge waste of my time! It's their loss- I'm a young person in this field who gets how to bring in the assets and truly help people do the right thing with their finances. I was seeking a career with SoFi that I could dig in deep with and all they did was waste my time. Clearly, I'm better off!!
