Applied through LinkedIn, Job Description says "Entry Level" asked for only 4 years of Similar experience. Received email from Talent Acquisition Partner to do a 30 min phone call.
Recruiter calls me, asked how many years experience in SAAS I had, which i said none (my resume also shows i have none). She asked me what I do at my current job, and I explained what I do, and I'm trying to transition roles, and explained I haven't been a Product Manager, but have done projects before.
She stopped me, and said well we are looking for minimum of 5 years experience as a Product Manager. I responded saying this is an Entry Level role you posted this as. She said no it isn't, its a Management role, I screen shot the listing for proof.
She then states, I should only apply for roles I'm qualified for. I had to stop her and ask her if she read my resume (don't think she did read my resume or she would've seen I don't have 5 years experience directly), and asked why she contacted me and wasted my time.
Very rude and condescending. I am trying to transition roles. Doesn't seem like she is qualified in her role.
Happy to not move on in this, dodged a bullet here.
