Normal-enough interview process with a phone screen and a day of in-person interviews with about 5 individuals. Personally I felt it went well. Everyone there is as nice as can be and I felt comfortable the whole time. However ... the whole process (from application to ultimate rejection) took about 3 months. I was warned that they don't move quickly, but 3 months?? They also at one point told me I was "top two" which was a bit of a slap in the face, even more so when I found out they had gone on to interview another crop of candidates after the first. Apparently this role was assigned to a different manager during the hiring process, but I was not given a chance to interview with the new hiring manager. Overall, I felt that my candidacy might have been lost in an overwhelming thicket of bureaucracy and disorganization. I wasn't excessively qualified so it's probably true that someone more qualified got the job... but still, it shouldn't take that long just to tell someone "no".
My overall impression is that Shure is a relatively slow-moving company that might have an overly complicated org chart. During the interview, questions about how my (marketing) role would interact with sales was met with a bit of bemusement and sketches of mini-org charts with diagonal lines...

Question 1
It was a lot of "tell me about your background" and "tell me about a time" type questions

12 different interviews over a 2 month span. Probably the most unprofessional process I've been a part of. Then another 30 days to notify of decision? Good thing I took a better position after the initial 60. I can only imagine how long it takes to get something done in that place.
