1) Initial phone screen with HR asking about background, relevant work experience and why did you apply Shopify? 2) Second round: Life Story Interview: 1-hour interview where you start with a specific point in your life and describe how you reached your current point in life. I really enjoyed this interview because it is not like other typical interviews and is more of a conversation. The interviewer will then ask you questions about the specific events in your life i.e. why did you play this specific sport in school etc. I received a call the week after and was told that I did not make it to the next round as there were other more qualified candidates that better fit the role. The leading rounds after usually consist of behavior and technical interviews with the actual team you would be working for as well as a take-home case study. Overall, this was probably the best interview experience that I had and the team at Shopify really do an amazing job of making sure you are comfortable through the whole process!
