J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 3 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Shopify en oct. 2017

The application process itself is very long. You need to create a Shopify store and a video to submit your resume.
The interview process:
First, there was a 1 hour long interview. If you pass that, you move on to a 2 hour practical test, during which they simulate interactions with customers. They want to see how resilient and confident you are. If you pass that, you move on to a 30 minute interview with a squad lead.
I got to step 3 and received positive feedback during my encounters with Shopify staff. They asked me for references and following my interview with the squad lead, I received a call to tell me I wasn't selected. I asked them what I could've improved and they didn't give me feedback. They just said I should try applying again and that there were more interesting candidates at this time...
The squad lead I spoke to was previously a clerk at Wal Mart... I'm insulted that they rejected me (with a uni degree and web development experience) yet they hire people who simply have retail experience.
It all boils down to whether or not the person you're interviewing with likes you, honestly. I guess the squad lead didn't like me and that's probably why I didn't land the job.
The first Interview was on phone interview. I did not pass through to next stage of the process, which was an online test. After that would be another formal interview.

The interview process was pretty intense. They asked me about my life story, but I’d also created a store before that. Then I had to do a technical interview where I pretended I already had the job.

The interview experience was professional, friendly and organized. Interviewee did notify via email whether I got the offer or not. Great to hear back the results since typically companies don't.
